Finished Billy Bong

'they do not know what is meant by yesterday or today; they leap about, eat, rest, digest, leap about again, and so, from morn till night and from day to day, fettered to the moment and its pleasure or displeasure (they are) neither melancholy nor bored... A human being may well ask an animal: "why do you not speak to me of your happiness but only stand and gaze at me?' The animal would like to answer, and say: ' The reason is I always forget what I was going to say' - but then he forgot this answer too, and stayed silent: so that the human being was left wondering... 'the eight technologies of otherness' by Sue Golding
I finally finished Billy Bong (Hung Like a horse) Its hanging in its space @ Sluice artFair I'm Happy!! and all is good in the world....
This Work is a collaboration with Jonathan Hillson Its been shown at various place's studio1.1, Half Baked, Supernormal and Hackney Wicked, not to mention the cycling around London with it on my bike trailer.
However it takes up a lot of space and I dont have a lot of space!!! So I have decided to turn it into a wanking cat. I have made a decision that the slim figures of previous work, has to be the way forward as space is an issue but more importantly the slim pieces feel more together. and less fussy if that is possible with my work
I want to keep elements of this cat but just want to slimline them a bit. I have also talked to Jon about creating one of his video pieces using the cat as its a collaborative piece.
 So watch this space...

Hung Like A Horse

This latest work is going to be shown at Sluice Art Fair This weekend @South Molton Lane.
This work was inspired by the show 'Rear View Mirror' about the Cable Street riots and how the local community came together to STOP a fascist march. This show not only celebrates 75 years since the march but the story about the Mural its self...
I made this work which as a response to the show and the sketches that were in the Gallery studio1.1

4th October

Well its been a few days since, I took a photo. Its been beautiful weather, Especially for October, But a change in the air. I had a difficult day on Friday and quite upset as someone behaved quite bad. I then went to Euston and waited for a train to go to Rugby and spend time at Nan's and to go to the Rugby Library with Fran from the Fabelists. Woke up Sat, was sick and had a migraine spent the rest of the day sleeping and throwing up, Nan was quite shocked and thought their might be something else wrong. Felt better on Sunday and we went to the boat man for Lunch, where Mum and Dave joined us.
Dave and I came home Sunday Evening.
Mon Jon's Birthday and he's been in a good mood. I went to work and we sorted some things out and all is well. I need to get a balance between work and Art. Fran asked for a pic of the work that appears on the fabelist site.So I sent the one below but need to post on their blog. I also need to get this work ready for the 15th October so have been working on it tonight.
